    Nintendo TVii is available now

    In September, we announced that i.TV was selected to build a first-of-its-kind entertainment experience for Nintendo’s Wii U system. What i.TV and Nintendo collaborated to create is called Nintendo TVii and it is available now on Wii U in the U.S. and Canada. We are fortunate to have partners like Nintendo that share our vision about the future of television and entertainment. We hope you enjoy Nintendo TVii!

    Joint Effort Creates Unique & Completely Integrated Second Screen Entertainment Experience Using the GamePad Controller

    New York, New York–September 13, 2012–i.TV today announced a partnership with Nintendo to create Nintendo TVii, a built-in service on the Wii U console that redefines how consumers find, watch and engage with their favorite video entertainment. Nintendo TVii will debut when Wii U becomes available in North America on Sunday, November 18th.

    Nintendo announced Nintendo TVii and the partnership with i.TV at an event held in New York, NY on September 13, 2012. 

    Pricing and Availability

    Nintendo TVii for Wii U will be available in the U.S. and Canada as a free, fully-integrated feature with the new console when it goes on sale on Sunday, November 18th.

    Carlton Cuse and Gordon Ho Appointed to i.TV Advisory Board

    We are pleased to announce the appointment of Carlton Cuse and former Walt Disney Company EVP, Gordon Ho to i.TV’s Advisory Board.

    Carlton Cuse joins i.TV Advisory Board

    Carlton is an Emmy Award-winning television writer and producer and was executive producer of ABC’s Lost, among other critically-acclaimed, hit network shows.

    “Television is changing and social TV, transmedia and the second screen are driving much of that change,” said Carlton Cuse. “i.TV has a cutting-edge approach to social TV and the second screen and I look forward to helping them shape the future direction of the industry.”

    Carlton Cuse grew up in Boston and graduated from Harvard University before starting his career as a producer’s assistant. Later, with Jeffrey Boam, Cuse developed the story and screenplays for Lethal Weapon 2Lethal Weapon 3 and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Among other television projects, he co-created, executive produced and wrote for FOX’s The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. and went on to create, produce and write the CBS series Nash Bridges. In 2004 Cuse was recruited by ABC to be executive producer of Lost. He served in that role, also writing a number of episodes, until the series’ conclusion in 2010. Cuse has been nominated for ten primetime Emmy awards for his work on Lost, winning twice, and in 2010 was named to Time magazine’s list of 100 Most Influential People in the World.

    “i.TV is doing some very exciting work and I am honored to join their advisory board,” said Gordon Ho. “Partnerships with companies like AOL and EW.com on second screen and social TV initiatives have already positioned i.TV as a leader in the space but  I believe their best is yet to come.”

    A graduate of Stanford University and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Gordon began his career with the Walt Disney Studios in 1992, serving in a variety of executive roles before being appointed as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Marketing, Content and Business Development, in 2006. While at Disney, Gordon led the creation of the direct-to-video category and the expansion of TV home entertainment sales from ABC and Disney Channel. Gordon was also instrumental in driving the entire entertainment industry to adopt Blu-ray Disc technology. Today, Gordon runs GKH Media and serves as the Chair of the PromaxBDA Research and Insights Committee.

    NOTE: The announcement was made during Digital Hollywood Spring, a trade conference being held April 30-May 2 at the Ritz Carlton, Marina del Rey, where i.TV organized the Social Television Dinner, featuring thought leaders discussing trends in the social TV and second screen space.

    You can now check-in to your favorite shows via Facebook and Twitter, and we are pleased to announce a partnership with leading entertainment check-in service, GetGlue.

    Never miss your favorite show again. Tune-in alerts for shows are back. Just tap the “Set Alert” button on a show card and let us do the rest.

    Smart Lists

    Smart Lists are located on the Shows tab. There are three new Smart Lists found in i.TV 3.3 and we will continue to add new lists in the coming months.

    New shows tonight: Will display shows that are airing a new episode during primetime that day.

    Award Winners: Displays TV shows and movies from the latest award ceremonies.

    Most Favorited: Determined by i.TV users, this list will show you what the most favorited shows are.

    i.TV 3.2.1 now available in the App Store

    Here is what’s new in i.TV 3.2.1

    Download i.TV now. 

    Edit Your Channel Lineup

    You can now edit your channel lineup from the On TV tab. Simply tap the “Edit Lineup” button found above the channel listings. A menu will pop up, allowing you to remove or add channels from the listings grid. If you have a particularly long channel lineup, we’ve also added a “Hide All” toggle so you can hide all channels and then go and select only those channels you want to appear in your lineup.

    Favorites Filter

    You can now filter the TV listings by your favorite shows. This feature is found on the On TV tab in the app. Simply tap the “Display” button found at the top of the screen, and select “Favorites” from the list of options.
