Version 1.0 and 1.1 of i.TV to expire

Well, we’re retiring a couple of numbers this week: versions 1.0 and 1.1 of i.TV.

As of today, versions 1.0 and 1.1 of i.TV will cease to function. For the vast majority of i.TV users, there will be no difference. The app will continue to work as usual. However, the small number of people who are still using i.TV versions 1.0 and 1.1 will now need to upgrade to version 1.2 of i.TV in order for the application to work.

With each new update to the application, it has become increasingly difficult to support multiple versions of the application. Please update to the latest version through the iTunes App Store.

You shouldn't force
people to update, you don't see Apple or Microsoft saying you can't use previous versions of there operating systems.
This is bad move on your part guys.

There is a problem with the channel guide on the database of i.TV. I have recorded a program on my Tivo on channel 1811 thinking that I was recording a nature program when it was somthing not entirely what I saw on the channel guide. To put it more simply the channel guide on i.TV and Time Warner or the Tivo guide do not match up. The channel guide on Tivo is accurate and the guide i.TV is not. Is anyone else had this problem especially with channel 1811?

I am having a problem with the channel guide on i.TV. The programs on i.TV do not match up to what is scheduled on the Time Warner guide or the Tivo guide. I have recorded programs from i.TV thinking that I was recording a show on nature and come to find out it was not the right program. Is anyone else having this problem or am I doing something wrong.

Dave, we're sorry to see you go. I think you're going to miss out in the long run though. There are going to be some pretty exciting developments here in the first half of 2009.
